Some new work from Daily Spitpaint.

So I recently joined a facebook group called 30 min daily spitpaint. The concept is they post a few brief titles and you are to illustrate what ever they inspire but keep it strictly to 30 minutes of work. There is some truley inspired work going on in 30 minutes and im daily impressed. Here are a few og my pieces. These are all digital and created in 30 minutes. I did most on my iMac but a couple I did on the iPad using procreate and a stylus.

Some New Sketches

Heres a few recent sketches from the ol' sketchbook. Ive been using this really thin lined ball point pen for months now and I really love it. You can get the greatest lines from them.

New digital Piece

Heres  new digitla painting inspired by living in nothern California. The caost drives are some of my favorite. I love the huge granite rocks the seem to just birth themselves from the rolling hills. This was also a subject on this months Travisty's Beard blog.

Cats on Mean St.

Heres a little piece I did last night for the dreamworks artsit's blog Travisty's Beard. I know I dont work there anymore but since the damn thing is named in honor of my face folicles they make an exception for me.
This months subject was "street cats".
Enjoy. Thanks.

Another Digital Piece

Ive been having fun with these quick-ish digital sketch type paintings. I think Eyvind Earle has been playing through my mind with a lot of them. Its interesting being a digital and traditional painter combined with backgrounds in fine art and illustration. Theres a interesting balance between design and layout then application for each. Anyway its fun to play.

Heres some of my traditional media sketches. These are all from my latest moleskin and have been drawn of the past year or so. I use tons of different pens but some include brush pens, ball points and sharpies.
