New Holiday Time Sketches.

Heres a couple sketches Ive done the last couple days. The first was inspired by watching and listening to the Lord of the Rings. This was just a sketch from a idea composition I had and in then turned into rivendale just like that.

The second is inspired by the country around where my mom lives up in northern CA in the redding, chico area. There are some beautiful landscapes up there.

Both are digital photoshop paintings. 1st about 3 hours the 2nd about 2.

New Painting.

So heres a new painting I started a couple months ago from just throwing some random paint down. It's funny how you can start something and let it sit for so long then bust it out when you have to. So this sat at my easel until I got a little inspiration.
This is 24"x36" and acrylic.

Golden Gate Park

Heres a little digital piece I did today. I went out with a couple friends on the solstice a couple weeks ago and we had a nice jaunt about Golden Gate Park. It was a gorgeous day and I painted a lot of pictures in my head but this spot and time of day and glow stayed with me. If you know GGPark you probably know this spot.

Live Painting from our monthly fundraiser at Double Dutch called Big Bottom

So another post and so quickly. What can I say Im finally making moves again. This is another live painting from one of my art collectives fundraisers, this one called Big Bottom. I used to do this more but it trailed off over the last couple years but it looks like I could start doing it again monthly, which I might just do. This one was done at Double Dutch at bar(slash)nightclub in the mission district of SF. This took about 4 hours with a few touch ups at home. This is acrylic on gessoboard 9"x18". I love these things, if you havnt used them I suggest it highly. Im using the Ampersand brand and the the pro's are amazing, quick drying action, amazing texture build up, silky smooth paint application, I could go on. Try them! Enjoy
